Google Vacation Rentals

Google Vacation Rentals shows your home directly in Google Search and Google Maps when travelers look for accommodation in your area. It's free — there is no commission and no advertising budget needed. Guests who click your listing land on your own direct booking website to book.

What you need

Before you can connect, three things must be in place:

  1. Complete property details — address, phone number, a description and at least 8 photos. Google reviews this content and won't list incomplete properties.
  2. A published booking website — guests coming from Google book on your own site, so it must be live. You'll find it under Website in the dashboard.
  3. The Channel Manager enabled for the listing (the same sync that powers Booking.com and Airbnb).

The connect window checks all of this for you and tells you exactly what's missing.

How to connect

The easiest way: when you publish your booking website, leave the pre-checked "Also list my home on Google" box ticked — we set up the Google connection right away, no extra steps.

You can also connect at any time later: open your listing's Sync tab, find Google Vacation Rentals under available channels and click Connect. That's it — no Google account, no codes to copy. hejGuide sends your rates and live availability to Google through the channel manager and links your booking website automatically.

We send your standard nightly rate and live calendar. Google treats a vacation rental as one bookable home, so one rate is exactly what it expects.

What happens next

  • Right after connecting, the channel may show Setup pending for a short while — the connection is being finished behind the scenes. You can follow the status on the Website page too: the Google Vacation Rentals card there shows "In review" until your home is live.
  • Google then reviews new properties weekly. Allow 1–4 weeks before your home actually appears in Google Search and Maps.
  • Bookings arrive on your booking website like any other direct booking — same confirmation emails, same payment settings, same calendar.

Good to know

  • Your website address is locked while connected. Google links guests to the exact web address you connected with, so you can't unpublish your booking site or disconnect its custom domain while the Google channel is active. Disconnect the channel first if you need to change it.
  • Prices shown on Google follow your standard rate and update automatically when you change your rates or calendar.
  • You can disconnect at any time from the Sync tab; your listing then disappears from Google's vacation-rental results.
