Connecting Stripe
Stripe is a global payment platform that supports credit cards, debit cards, and various local payment methods in 40+ countries.
Prerequisites
- A Stripe account (or sign up during the connect flow)
- The hejGuide Pro plan — Stripe is a Pro feature
- You must be the account owner — co-hosts can't connect a payment provider
Connecting your account
hejGuide connects to Stripe with a secure one-click authorization (Stripe Connect) — you never copy or paste API keys.
- Go to Account settings → Payment details.
- In the Stripe card, click Connect Stripe.
- You're redirected to Stripe to authorize hejGuide — sign in, or create an account if you don't have one yet.
- Once you approve, Stripe sends you back and the connection is active automatically.
TIP
Connecting uses Stripe's hosted authorization, so your Stripe login and card data never pass through hejGuide.
What Happens After Connecting
- You can send online payment links to guests from the booking page
- Guests pay via credit card or other supported methods
- Completed payments are automatically recorded in the booking
