Creating Rate Plans

A rate plan defines the pricing rules for your listings. Once created and assigned, it automatically calculates booking prices so you do not have to enter amounts manually for each reservation.

WARNING

The Rates page requires both the bookings and channels plan modules. If you don't see Rates in the sidebar, your plan doesn't include rate plans yet.

How to create a new rate plan

  1. Go to Rates in the sidebar.
  2. Click the "New Rate Plan" button.
  3. Fill in the rate plan details (see below).
  4. Click Save.

Rate plan settings

Basic information

  • Name -- Give the rate plan a descriptive name (e.g., "Beach House Standard", "City Apartment Weekly"). This name is for your reference only; guests do not see it.
  • Base price -- There is no separate "base price" field. The editor is season-driven: the price of your first season acts as the base rate, and it's also the fallback used for any date no other season covers. Add at least one season to set your nightly rate (see Seasonal Pricing).

Assign to listings

  • Select one or more listings that should use this rate plan.
  • A listing can only have one active rate plan at a time.
  • If multiple listings share the same pricing, you can assign the same rate plan to all of them.

TIP

If you have properties with different pricing, create separate rate plans for each. For example, one for your beachfront apartments and another for your city studio.

Stay rules

Minimum and maximum stay are set per season, not once for the whole rate plan. Each season has its own:

  • Minimum stay -- The shortest booking allowed (in nights) during that season. For example, set to 2 if you do not accept single-night stays in summer.
  • Maximum stay -- The longest booking allowed (in nights) during that season. Leave blank for no limit.

When a stay spans several seasons, the most restrictive rule applies (highest minimum, lowest maximum).

Booking window

How far in advance guests can book is not a rate-plan field — it's set per listing. Open Listings → your listing → Pricing tab and adjust Calendar open for (the number of days ahead the calendar stays available). This controls how far into the future bookings can be made.

After creating a rate plan

Once your rate plan is saved, you can enhance it with additional pricing rules:

  1. Add seasonal pricing -- Set different rates for specific date ranges.
  2. Configure weekend pricing -- Charge more for Friday and Saturday nights.
  3. Set up discounts -- Offer reduced rates for longer stays or last-minute bookings.
  4. Choose a cancellation policy -- Define refund rules.
  5. Add taxes -- Attach tax sets to the rate plan.

WARNING

A listing without an assigned rate plan will not have automatic price calculation. Make sure every listing has a rate plan before creating bookings.

Editing a rate plan

  1. Go to Rates in the sidebar.
  2. Click on the rate plan you want to edit.
  3. Make your changes and click Save.

Changes to a rate plan affect future bookings only. Existing bookings keep the prices they were created with.
