Insights Report

The Insights tab gives you a short list of AI-generated tips for the week -- pricing opportunities, calendar gaps, unanswered messages, channel-mix shifts, review trends, and operational backlog -- each with a clear action you can take. It is meant to answer one question: what should I focus on this week?

WARNING

Smart Insights is an AI feature included on plans that have it enabled. If your plan does not include it, the Insights tab does not appear in the Reports section.

Accessing the Insights report

  1. Click Reports in the sidebar.
  2. Select Insights.
  3. The first time you open it in a given week, hejGuide generates fresh tips -- this takes a few seconds. After that, the same set loads instantly.

What the report shows

Weekly tips

Each tip is a card with an urgency badge (low, medium, or high), a title, a short explanation, and -- where relevant -- an estimated impact and an action button. Cards are sorted with the most urgent first. Depending on the tip, the action button may:

  • Open an inline panel to adjust a rate or add a rate event to your pricing plan.
  • Open the relevant guest message thread, for example to offer a late check-out or early check-in that fills a gap night.
  • Link directly to the relevant page in the dashboard.

Where the tips come from

Tips are built from your own calendar, bookings, pricing, messages, and reviews. hejGuide first detects concrete facts (such as an awkward gap night, stale rates, or an overdue message), then uses AI to phrase a small number of prioritized, specific suggestions. Some tips -- like gap-night suggestions -- are generated from fixed rules rather than AI. The system is designed to reference only real data from your account, not invented figures.

Marking tips done or dismissing them

Each card has two buttons:

  • Done (the check) -- You have handled the action. For message-related tips, this also marks the thread so the same tip will not resurface.
  • Dismiss (the cross) -- The tip is not relevant to you.

Both hide the card. hejGuide notes which tips you act on versus dismiss to improve future suggestions. Tips also resolve on their own: if you fix the underlying situation elsewhere in the dashboard (book the gap, answer the message, complete the task), the card disappears the next time the page loads.

TIP

New tips are generated once a week, typically on Monday. If you have cleared everything, you will not see new cards until the next week's set. That is normal -- an empty Insights tab means there is nothing pressing right now.

How to use the Insights report

  • Start your week here. Skim the high-urgency cards first and act on them directly from the buttons.
  • Use it as a checklist. Mark each tip done as you handle it, so the list reflects what is still outstanding.
  • Don't expect mid-week changes. The set is a weekly snapshot; new conditions surface in next week's tips, though resolved ones drop off as you fix them.

The same weekly tips also appear in the rotating Insights strip on your dashboard.
