hejGuide is committed to data privacy and GDPR compliance. You have full control over your personal data.
Exporting Your Data
Request a copy of all personal data hejGuide stores about you:
- Go to Settings → GDPR & Data (
/settings/gdpr) - Click Request data export
- Your request is queued — the export is generated in the background (you'll see a Preparing badge while it runs)
- Once it's ready, a Download export button appears on the same page — click it to download the file
TIP
Exports are generated asynchronously rather than on the spot, so the download link won't be there the instant you request it — give it a little time and refresh the page. You can only have one export request pending at a time. The export includes your profile information, bookings, guest data, and transaction history.
Requesting Account Deletion
If you want to permanently delete your hejGuide account:
- Go to Settings → GDPR & Data (
/settings/gdpr) - Click Request account deletion
- Confirm your decision
WARNING
Deletion is scheduled for 30 days after you request it — not immediate. During that window the request shows as Deletion pending. After 30 days your data — listings, bookings, templates, and settings — is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Export your data first if you need it.
Your Data Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — view and export your personal data at any time
- Rectification — update incorrect personal information via your profile settings
- Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — export your data in a standard format
