Booking Sources & Calendar Sync
The Booking Sources tab is where you keep a single listing's calendar in sync with the outside world -- either by connecting it to OTA channels through the Channel Manager, or by adding iCal feeds from the platforms you list on.
Accessing the tab
- Go to Listings and click the listing you want to connect.
- Open the Booking Sources tab.
WARNING
The Channel Manager part of this tab is part of the channels plan module. If your plan doesn't include channels, you'll still see iCal sync and calendar export, but not the Channel Manager card.
What this tab does
Channel Manager
The card at the top connects this listing to OTA channels (Channex). Use the switch in the header to publish the listing. The status pill shows where it stands:
- Publishing -- The listing is being pushed to the Channel Manager.
- Connected -- The listing is synced and ready to connect channels.
- Paused -- Syncing is paused (for example, a plan or payment issue). Follow the inline link to resolve it.
- Error -- Something went wrong; a Retry button re-publishes.
Once connected, you'll see Connected channels (each with an Active, Setup pending, or Connection error state) and a searchable list of Available channels. Click Connect on a channel to map its rooms and rate plans. Airbnb connects through a guided OAuth flow that can also import the listing's content.
Each connected channel row opens a manage view where you can activate, deactivate, or disconnect it. To turn the Channel Manager off entirely, you must first disconnect any active OTA channels.
WARNING
Connecting an OTA as a channel clears that OTA's iCal URL on this listing. The two methods are mutually exclusive for a given platform, and removing the channel later does not automatically restore the iCal feed -- you'd re-add the iCal URL by hand.
iCal sync
When the Channel Manager isn't connected, you can sync availability with one-way iCal feeds. The tab has fixed fields for the common sources:
- Airbnb iCal URL -- Paste the calendar export link from Airbnb.
- Booking.com iCal URL -- Paste the calendar export link from Booking.com.
- Hosttools / generic import URL -- For other platforms that publish an iCal feed.
Each field links out to instructions for finding that platform's iCal link. Save to start importing those dates.
Calendar export
The Calendar export card gives you a read-only iCal URL for this listing's bookings. Copy it and add it to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or any other tool to keep an outside calendar in step with hejGuide.
Import history
A shortcut links to the booking-import flow, so you can bring historical reservations for this listing into hejGuide.
TIP
The Channel Manager (two-way, real-time) is the stronger option where it's available. Use iCal feeds for platforms the Channel Manager doesn't cover yet.
